Nutritional value

Research by the German Nutrition and Health Association shows that among all staple foods, corn has the highest nutritional value and health care effect. Corn contains 7 kinds of “anti-aging agents” namely calcium, glutathione, vitamins, magnesium, selenium, vitamin E and fatty acids. It has been determined that every 100 grams of corn can provide nearly 300 mg of calcium, which is almost the same as the calcium contained in dairy products. Abundant calcium can lower blood pressure. The carotene contained in corn is absorbed by the body and converted into vitamin A, which has anti-cancer effect. Plant cellulose can accelerate the discharge of carcinogens and other poisons. Natural vitamin E has the functions of promoting cell division, delaying aging, lowering serum cholesterol, preventing skin lesions, and reducing arteriosclerosis and brain function decline. The lutein and zeaxanthin contained in corn help to delay eye aging.

Sweet corn also has a medical and health care effect. It contains a variety of vitamins and minerals to make it have the characteristics of fruits and vegetables; it contains unsaturated fatty acids, which can lower blood cholesterol, soften blood vessels and prevent coronary heart disease.
